Woomargama National Park - Planned Burn
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service has advised that they will be conducting a hazard reduction burn in the southern area of Woomargama National Park during April/May 2026. The area of the planned burn includes a section of the Hume and Hovell Track through Spring Creek between Tunnel Road and Peardons Trail (shown in pink on the map below).
The track is likely to be closed to walkers for a few days during the operation. Further updates will be provided when dates are confirmed by NPWS.
For further information or enquiries specific to this work please visit the NPWS current alerts for Woomargama National Park.
Please note: the Hume & Hovell Track passes through numerous land tenures which means access and management may be impacted by the governing body. This includes planned burns, chemical usage, harvesting operations, road works and maintenance.
