Paddys River Dam Access Temporary Closure
Forestry Corporation NSW have advised of a temporary closure to Paddys River Dam camping ground and nearby roads. See notification HERE.
Due to road damage resulting from recent snowy weather and high traffic flow, FCNSW has temporarily closed vehicle access via Back Creek Rd, JDX Road and Houlihans Track into Paddys River Dam.
Walkers are still able to access Paddys River Dam Campsite via the Hume & Hovell Track as a rest stop but no vehicle access will be available.
With more snow predicted, FCNSW will provide updates on any further closures due to road conditions.
In the event of snowfall, visitors to Bago State Forest are encouraged to enjoy Sugar Pines and Pilot Hill Arboretum visitor areas, accessed via Kopsens Road.
For more information on these areas, including an interactive map of Bago State Forest, please visit the FCNSW website:

Please contact Forestry Corporation for any clarification: Southern Region Office on 1300 880 548.
Please note: the Hume & Hovell Track passes through numerous land tenures which means access and management may be impacted by the governing body. This includes chemical usage, harvesting operations, road works and other maintenance.
