You will be excited to see the older style wooden post stiles are gradually being replaced by a more user friendly steel design, with steps and a double handrail for ease of use for those with backpacks.

After severe flooding in the Tumbarumba area in November 2020 there was extensive damage to the boardwalk and bridge across Burra Creek in the Henry Angel Trackhead to Mannus Lake Campground section of the track, causing this to close to the public.

Hume and Hovell bridge builders have been busy in recent months along the northern end of the track from Wee Jasper through to Micalong Swamp. Funding has recently allowed the purchase of bridge materials and construction equipment to access the more remote areas of track.

The Hume & Hovell Track will be seeing a wide range of improvements after obtaining $1.5 million in funding from the NSW Government.
