FCNSW Fungus Control in Plantations

Forestry Corporation of NSW has advised that they will soon be implementing needle blight control on State Forest near the Hume & Hovell Track. The timing and duration of works is weather dependent and will be via helicopter application. Operations will occur in the region between December 2023 and April 2024. Some sites will receive one two treatments throughout this period.

The following products will be used:
Copper (eg: Nordox)
Vegetable Oil (eg: Endorse)

We are advised that these products are commonly used in backyards and agricultural industries to treat fruit and vegetable crops.

The application will be occurring in the yellow highlighted area, with the Hume & Hovell Track being the pink line as shown on the maps below (supplied by Forestry Corporation of NSW). Areas undergoing treatment include Mannus State Forest.

Areas undergoing treatment will be signposted, and have sentries, please follow any instructions provided.

For further information or enquiries specific to this work please contact Roger Davies on 0429 831 082 or 0269 473 911 or visit the Forestry Corporation website at www.forestrycorporation.com.au

Please note: the Hume & Hovell Track passes through numerous land tenures which means access and management may be impacted by the governing body. This includes chemical usage, harvesting operations, road works and maintenance.
