Paddy’s River Dam

Many consider this to be the most attractive campsite on the Hume & Hovell Track, a secluded campground in the forest with extensive wildlife and the dam full of fish. It is visited year-round by campers, fishermen and picnic-goers. The dam was constructed in the 1930’s and comprised part of the 34km water race to Tumbarumba which was used to generate electricity. Paddys River Dam through to Junction Campsite has a strong mining history. Paddys River Dam is located in the Bago State Forest.
