Blowering Dam Wall

Blowering Dam was built in the 1960’s by the NSW Government to store water released into the Tumut River. Water that is released upstream generates hydro-electricity through the Snowy Hydro Electric Scheme. At three times the size of Sydney Harbour, it is one of the biggest dams in NSW and is popular for water sports, fishing and camping.
