Dog Friendly Sections.

The Hume & Hovell Track has several dog friendly sections where you can walk with your dog. These sections are highlighted in yellow on the maps below.

Dogs are permitted in all State Forest areas along the track, but you can not take a dog into a National Park or onto private land, so please respect the boundaries of these areas.

When walking with your dog in a State Forest, there are a few things to remember:

• your dog must be under your control at all times

• always pick up after your dog

• ensure you pack enough food and water for your dog on long forest trips

• respect other campers who don’t have dogs and keep noise to a minimum.
